"Lovely and cosy - Kath and the other guests were really friendly and welcoming. The video collection kept us amused for hours (days!) when the weather was grim. Home from home - will definitely recommend and plan to return in May '08." Sarah Williams November 14th 2007. Comment received by a Hostelbookers customer
"Thanks so much guys for making my visit so enjoyable. I would recommend any lone travellers to drag other like minded souls to the Cross Foxes for a pool competion - great when the weather turns bad - only a 2 minute stagger to the hostel! Kath was really friendly and chilled out and the hostel is really cosy - it felt like my home for the week I was there. Will miss it but hope to come back next year - hopefully in the summer for the BBQ on the terrace I was promised!" Caleb Morris October 19th 2007. Comment received by a Hostelworld customed
"great place to stay with very friendly Cath who runs the show (i don't know how she does it on her own but it's always clean, friendly, and homely). good kitchen facilities (if eating area is somewhat tight and restricted). good location not far from station or city centre". Felicity Sleeman October 17th 2007. Comment received by a Hostelworld customer
"Free Wifi, video + book library. 24 hour kitchen access with free tea + coffee. Great staff, really friendly, helpful and laid back. No curfew so you can catch last orders in town! Only a 5 minute walk to city centre. There was a great atmosphere when I stayed - obviously this depends on the crowd who are staying at the time but I made a lot of friends that I hope to keep in touch with. I'll definitely be returning next year." Robert Taylor October 10th 2007. Comment received by a Hostelbookers customer"I've stayed in a lot of hostels and this is by far one of the best. The hostel itself wasn't really loads of fun, but it can be as fun as you make it. It had a TV and movie room, free coffee and tea, and the staff was AMAZING! When I come back to Chester, I will definitely stay here again...no doubt." April 16th 2007 Comment received by a Hostelworld customer
"This is one of the best, if not THE best hostel I have stayed at thus far! It is very clean, the kitchen is fairly new and fully equiped, there is a lovely outdoor area that even has a laundry line, and the location is good! The rooms are a bit cramped, but not too terrible - I've been in worse! The owner is great - very nice! If she adds internet and breakfast, the place would be perfect! You will really enjoy this hostel!" April 9th 2007 Comment received by a Hostelworld customer
